The attention of the National Compliance Joint Task Force of Licensed Clearing Agents (NCJTFLCA) has been drawn to a purported publication circulated on SaharaReporters’ Facebook page on 24th September 2026, attributed to Mr. Adamu Sambo Muhammad, former Chairman, NCJTFLCA Seme Border Chapter, and Dr. Basil Nwolisa, former President, NCJTFLCA.
The Association hereby wishes to inform the general public, relevant government agencies, stakeholders, and members of the clearing and forwarding industry that Mr. Adamu Sambo Muhammad and Dr. Basil Nwolisa are no longer serving as Chairman and President respectively, and are no longer authorised to act or represent themselves as officers or members of the National Compliance Joint Task Force of Licensed Clearing Agents (NCJTFLCA).
Consequently, neither Mr. Adamu Sambo Muhammad nor Dr. Basil Nwolisa has any authority or mandate to write, submit, issue, circulate, or publish any petition, letter, statement, review, complaint, or other correspondence on behalf of the Association.
The Association further states categorically that it did not authorise, sponsor, submit, or issue any petition or publication to SaharaReporters dated 24th September 2026, titled:
Seme Border Customs Comptroller Accused of Threatening Clearing Agents’ Chairman After Complaint Over ₦8M Clearance Charge.
The said publication therefore does not represent the official position of the National Compliance Joint Task Force of Licensed Clearing Agents (NCJTFLCA) and should be treated as such by the general public and all relevant authorities.
Members of the public, government agencies, security agencies, stakeholders, and the media are hereby advised to disregard any purported communication, petition, publication, or representation made by the aforementioned individuals in the name of NCJTFLCA without official authorisation from the duly constituted leadership of the Association.
For the avoidance of doubt, all official communications and representations of the Association shall be issued through its duly recognised and authorised officers.
