Tinubu seeks Senate approval for an additional loan of $7.8 billion, 100 million euros

Just 24 hours after seeking approval of the N2.18 trillion supplementary budget, President Bola Tinubu sought approval from the Senate for another $7.8 billion and another €100 million loan plan.

The President’s request was contained in a letter to the Senate, which was read by Senate President GodsWill Akpabio during the plenary session on Wednesday.

It was reported that the President presented another supplementary budget worth N2.18 trillion to the National Assembly on Tuesday (yesterday).

A few months ago, the National Assembly approved the sum of N819.5 billion presented by the President, among other things to provide a palliative package worth N500 billion to cushion the impact of the economic policies recently by the federal government.
