The 37-man Tripartite Committee on the National Minimum Wage, is set to be inaugurated on Tuesday 30th of January, 2024, by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
The Inauguration is to be chaired by the former Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Alhaji Bukar Goni Aji, following the President’s approval.
In accordance with the Director, Information at the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Segun Imohiosen, said the inauguration is to commence by 12:00 noon at the Council Chamber, Presidential Villa, State House, Abuja.
Members constituting the Committee are picked from the Federal Government, State Government, Private Sector and the Organised Labour.
The members includes:
Federal Government: Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, Minister of State, Labour and Employment (Representing Hon. Minister of Labour and Employment); Mr Wale Edun, Minister of Finance & Coordinating Minister of the Economy; Alhaji Atiku Bagudu, Minister of Budget, Economic Planning; Dr (Mrs) Yemi Esan, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation; Dr Nnamdi Maurice Mbaeri, Permanent Secretary, GSO.
