Dr Olufemi Ogunyemi, who is the Managing Director of the Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA), has called upon the government of Cross River State to take advantage of its tax incentives.
The state is expected to set up group of enterprises in their hub to tackle feasible economic benefits to improve the revenue-generating of the State.
Peter Odey, Deputy Governor, had on Monday call Ogunyemi, spoke about the agency’s readiness to boost trade in the zone, and to partner and support the state.
Promising that NEPZA boss said the agency will encourage business owners in the state.
Ogunyemi said “NEPZA and the Calabar Free Trade Zone are determined to give the state government the needed support within the ambit of the law that established Free Trade Zones in Nigeria.
“This is to ensure a prosperous tenure for the present administration, reiterating NEPZA’s commitment.”
Responding, the Deputy Governor, assured NEPZA of the state government’s readiness to partner and give it the needed support to carry out its operations in the state without any hitches.
Odey agreed that if EPZ works, it is also to the state’s benefit because it will make other state-owned facilities like Tinapa work, also calling on EPZ to help market Tinapa by directing potential investors to the business resort.
