Popular Nigerian entertainer Helen Paul has narrated how her boss tried to stop Femi Bamisile, her husband, from dating her.
The comedian opened up about the challenges she faces with dating during an appearance on the latest episode of the Honest Bunch podcast.
The 45-year-old professor said that when she was working at Television Continental (TVC), her boss and human resources staff criticized Bamise for choosing to marry her.
“My boss called my husband and said: ‘Femi, is this the type of Helen you want to date?’ You are more than that. And he said ‘if you just want to have fun with her, that’s okay,'” she said.
“I took Femi to my private office at TVC. My HR looked at Femi and said, “look how clean you are.” A lawyer. Why choose Hélène?
Helen Paul and Bamisile got married in 2010. Their marriage was blessed with children.
