South African singer Tyla Laura Seethal, popularly known as Tyla, has placed Nigerian afrobeat singer Wizkid on par with music stars such as Michael Jackson, Drake and Rihanna.
When asked who the five greatest musicians of all time are, the “Water” singer mentioned Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Drake, Rihanna and Wizkid. She said Wizkid’s inclusion on the list was due to his longevity and impact on the African music scene.
“Obviously my top five musical artists of all time are Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Drake… It’s always hard to find the last one,” Tyla said. There are many but I would say Wizkid. It’s been around for a long time and has done a lot for the culture and the [African music] genre, so I’m definitely going to put it out there.
