The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission (ICPC) deployed officers to monitor Saturday governorship elections in Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi.
Spokesperson for the commission, Mrs. Azuka Ogugua, said this in her statement on Thursday in Abuja.
According to her, the commission’s personnel are deployed in 56 local government areas and 649 constituencies in the three states where elections are being held.
Ogugua said her agents worked to, among other things, monitor and prevent vote buying and other irregularities at various polling places during the election.
