Chairman of the Police Service Commission, Dr. Solomon Arase, retired Inspector General of Police has congratulated the Inspector General of Police, Dr. Kayode Egbetokun on the confirmation of his appointment by the Police Council on Tuesday , October 31, 2023 .
Dr. Arase, in a congratulatory letter to the Inspector General of Police which he personally signed, said he was attracted by Dr. Egbetokun’s humility and willingness to listen to advice and concerns on issues affecting the police.
According to him, “this has gone a long way in promoting cordiality between the Commission and the Nigeria Police and has helped restore the harmonious and symbiotic relationship between these two important institutions of government ”.
Dr. Arase noted that his Sacrament of Confirmation “is testimony to your steadfast commitment and high sense of responsibility applied in the discharge of your functions since your appointment by His Excellency the President.” appointment on June 19, 2023”.
He said his leadership, integrity and vision for the Force “have given you the confidence of Nigerians in our ability to defuse and contain the challenge of insecurity in Nigeria” . The PSC Chairman said, based on his experience in the Force, “enhanced by your rich academic record, I am confident that you will continue to have a significant impact on the Nigeria Police Force and Your service will certainly be phenomenal.”
Dr. Arase, while praying for the continued guidance, wisdom and protection of Almighty God in the herculean task of providing adequate security to the Nigerian people, “always be assured of support and my greetings.”
