Senator Abba Moro condemns Militarization of elections,call for Presidential intervention to save our democracy
Senate Minority Leader revealed this during the press briefing with news men in Abuja asked President Bola Tinubu to save Nigerian democracy and stop the militarization in our Elections process in the Country.
Moreso, Senator Moro condemned activities of Political actors especially the State governors in the recent bye election for using the military and Police to intimidate voters for selfish interest and purpose which may truncate our democracy now and in future.
According to Senator Moro, President Tinubu also contributed to the existence of democracy in Nigeria today he should not allowed the governors to truncate this democracy by using military to intimidate voters during election the way it used in the last bye election
However, senator Moro said PDP NEC meeting held recently had brought Peace to the party after some decision has been taken that only PDP as a party that has taken decision on zoning of which part of the country that will produced President comes 2027 general election
He called all Nigerians to support PDP as the only party who believe in democracy and rule of law.
In addition, Senator Abba Moro describe recent political crisis in Benue State as very unfortunate that governor trying to intimidate the speaker because he refused to clear a Commissioner nominee who has a lot of petitions and was not cleared.
Senate Minority leader commended Benue House Assembly Speaker for not bowing to the pressure of the executive governor and he has shown the separation of power in democracy
