The Rivers State Police Command operatives, had apprehended Monday Meshark, a 27- year-old man, who allegedly specializes in car theft in Port Harcourt.
He was arrested by the Olu Obasanjo Division operatives, along the Olu Obasanjo Road.
The crack operatives noticed some suspicious moves, while attempting to evade near the G.R.A junction.
SP Grace Iringe-Koko, who is the Command’s Public Relation Officer, had on Sunday in a statement made known that, Monday was successfully apprehended after a hot chase.
He stated further that Monday works as a security officer at a Mobile Company, but succumbed to temptation and stole a customer’s vehicle parked for maintenance to improve his life.
According to the police, the case has been charged to court but there was currently an ongoing investigation to apprehend Monday’s accomplices.
Olatunji Disu, the Commissioner of Police, advised individuals to install security cameras and alarms to prevent such incidents outside of working hours.
