The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has expressed displeasure over recent defection of Hon. Sulaiman Abubakar Gummi from the party to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The party noting that it was disappointed over the decision as it’s a sign of betrayal to PDP, himself and the community that elected him.
This was made known in an issued statement by Andi Haliru, the party’s publicity secretary in the State.
Party’s statement partly reads, “We firmly believe that his actions undermine the democratic process and the mandate entrusted to him by the constituents.
“In response to this breach of trust, the PDP state chapter will be taking legal action to challenge Hon. Gummi’s defection
“We are determined to ensure that the mandate given to him by the people of Gummi/Bukkuyum is rightfully restored.
“We want to assure the good people of Gummi and Bukkuyum Local Government Areas that the PDP remains strong and united.
“Our commitment to serving you and upholding your interests will not waver.
“We will fight vigorously to reclaim the trust that has been compromised by this decision.”
