‘Becoming a treasure in Africa and World football was a wild dream’, Super Eagles and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen discloses after being declared the 2023 CAF African Player of the Year.
He became the first Nigerian winning the prize after Nwankwo Kanu won it in 1999.
Osimhen reflected on his early days hawking on the streets of Lagos.
He made this known on his official X account.
Osimhen appreciate CAF and all the coaches he has played under both local and international.
In his final note he congratulated Chiamaka Nnadozie who was crowned best goal keeper of the year and Asisat Oshoala the crowned female player of the year.
