The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has made it known that a portal has already been designed and dedicated for online accreditation of journalists and media organisations who wish to cover the Ondo State Governorship election which is going to come up on the 16, November 2024.
The portal will be opened today, Monday, September 9th, 2024, for proper commencement and would automatically shut down on Thursday 31st October 2024 midnight.
This was made known on Monday in a statement by Sam Olumekun, who is the National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee.
Statement reads: interested media organisations wishing to deploy journalists and technical staff to cover the election are by the statement, required to apply via https://imap.inecnigeria.org
“We implore prospective applicants to do the needful well ahead of the 31st October deadline.
“There will be no deadline extension, while late submission will not be entertained.”
