The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has made it known to all new corps members, stating that the eligibility of the prospective corps members and their mobilisation are based on their National Identification Numbers (NIN), preceding the 2024 mobilisation exercise.
This was concluded on Wednesday in Abuja at a meeting between the management of the National Identification Management Commission, NIMC, led by its Director General, Abisoye Coker-Odusote and NYSC Management, led by its Director General, Brigadier General Y.D. Ahmed, and
Brig Gen Ahmed further explained that the conjunction with NIMC on corps mobilisation would strengthen the online registration process for NYSC, adding that the NYSC Integrated System, which was introduced in 2014, has assisted the scheme in its mobilisation process, while Coker-Odusote, the NIMC Director General, in her statement said the commission is totally ready for the collaboration between the duo agencies and that NIMC has partnered with several government agencies too in order to make life easier for the corps.
