The Senate said the National Assembly had recognized the sufferings of Nigerians by expediting the consideration of the N2.17 trillion supplementary appropriation bill.
The Deputy Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Senator Ali Ndume, gave this explanation while speaking to journalists in Abuja on Saturday.
He explained that passing the budget within 48 hours is a patriotic duty.
