The Kano State House of Assembly has passed to the federal government a supplementary budget of N99 billion to enable the state implement the new minimum wage and other services to residents in the state.
Alhaji Jibril Falgor, the Speaker of the House, has made it known that the budget will allow the state government to be able to implement the new minimum wage and other services, as the fund would be extended on recurrent, personnel and overhead cost.
Governor Abba Kabir-Yusuf, had since 20, August, submitted the N99 billion supplementary budget to the state assembly and his colleagues quickly speed up the passage of the bill which he appreciated their contribution and the passage of the supplementary budget had raised the state’s 2024 budget to N536 billion worth.
