Thus, the Honorable Minister for works , Senator David Umahi has revealed that the Federal Ministry of work will insert provision of a 15year shelf-life Insurance Guarantee for the works and a maximum of 5% of Variation of Price (VoP) Clause in the Contract.
The Minister disclosed this during 2024 meet budget presentation before the joint senate and house of representatives Committe of works.
Speaking further on the usage of concrete and ashalt pavement , the Minister stated that the Ministry’s new policy is to prevent excessive augmentation of contracts
Earlier , the chairman of the Senate committee on the works in his opening remark urge the Minister to make Senator Barinada Mpigi representing River East tasked the minister to ensure the budget of the ministry meet the yarning and demands of Nigerians
