Benon criticizes the Abia State Independent Electoral Commission (ABSIEC)’s released results, said: the results present was actually different from what happened at the polls, that there is evidence that APGA won the polls.

The party decided to challenge the results after studying what happened and getting feedback, emphasizing that the party was not convinced that the elections was not a free and fair one, alleging that the results were announced while collations were still ongoing and that lot of votes belonging to APGA candidates were not announced.

He said, “We want to seek redress which is the normal thing after elections. That is the position of our party.

“We are going to court to reclaim our mandate, because we have clear evidence of winning both the LGA Chairmanship and Councillorship.”
