The Abia state chapter of Labour Party, have decided to reject the outcome of stakeholders meeting held in Umuahia led by Governor Alex Otti, says its illegal and unconstitutional.
This is contained in a statement by the party, stating that the governor together with other stakeholders who converged in Umuahia have no power within the party constitution to convene any meeting outside the party as it’s just a waste of time and resources of Umuahia people.
The party also fault the place at which the meeting was held by Governor Alex Otti and that government business is not supposed to be transacted verbally but should be in an official writing.
The party insisted there is no formal communication from the INEC to the party as regards any objection to the conduct of the National Convention, rather the party queried the governor to produce any official communication from the INEC to him on the subject matter.
