The Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission (KWSIEC), has practically made known in a statement on Thursday, that the local government elections in the state would be done on the 21st of September, 2024.
Mr Okanla Baba, who is the Chairman of KWSIEC, signed the statement and Ilorin LEADERSHIP also received a copy.
He said: “Arrangements are being put in place to make this happen within the set date. We will give further breakdown on the election time table of activities soon, all things being equal.
“We urge all stakeholders to follow our public communications, updates and get ready for the elections within the time frame.”
The local government poll in the state had been delayed due to litigations on the matter by some interest groups.
