Following months of knock-downs and drag-outs between deputy governor and state governor of Edo State Philip Shaibu and Godwin Obaseki, Phillip Shaibu has finally been impeached as Edo Deputy Governor by the State Assembly.
He was sacked by the lawmakers this morning over alleged gross misconduct, which he failed to defend at the panel constituted to investigate the matter.
