The Binance Head of Financial Crime Compliance, Tigran Gambaryan, has finally arrived in Abuja at the Federal High Court for prosecution over tax avoidance in the suit FHC/ABJ/CR/115/2024.
Binance who was accused of refusing to register with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), for the purpose of paying all relevant taxes administered by the service.
Gambaryan and abscorned Nadeem Anjarwalla were expected to be prosecuted at the Abuja high court today.
However, Anjarwalla has escaped from the custody of the Office of the National Security Adviser, ONSA, when detained on February 28, while both Gambaryan and Binance were expected to have been charged to court by the Federal Government if Nigeria for tax avoidance and money laundering since last Thursday but the officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC), brought Gambaryan to court at around 9:19 am.
