The Nigerian Popular Islamic gospel singer, Rukayat Gawat Oyefeso is dead and buried today Tuesday 24, September 2024.
Prayer for the Dead was observed for the deceased in Ojota, part of Lagos State today Tuesday, while it was said during the prayer that the final prayer and burial would take place in Ijebu Aiyepe, Ogun State on Tuesday afternoon, this was confirmed by YAYI TV.
Message reads, “Alh. Rukayat Gawat is no more Allah be pleased with her – Amin.
“Her funeral (Janazah prayer) will take place in Ijebu Aiyepe Ogun State today by noon – may Allah be pleased with her soul.”
Jubril Gawat, the deceased brother, who is the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, had on Tuesday morning on his X social media handle wrote, “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.” Q 2 V 156.
Jubril’s post has triggered so many fans’ reactions as followers and associates are sympathizing with the family and sending their condolences.
