The Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC), Ibadan South East Local Government Area of Oyo State, has affirm the branch’s fire incident which accidentally occurred.
In accordance with Adeniran Tella, the state Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), stated in an issued statement to newsmen in Ibadan, that the fire occurred on Friday around 10.30 am and the cause of the fire is still yet to be confirmed, but the fire is assumed to have been triggered by a power surge.
Although, no life was lost but only logistic materials got burnt and the incident did not affect the Saki West State Constituency re-run election coming up on February 3.
