A human rights group, Citizens Coalition for Good Governance, CCGG, on Thursday pleaded with South East leaders to take action to unconditionally release the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, before IMO on November 11, 2023, governorship election.
Leaders of the group led by Comrade Justina Akwuaka-Akwaja and Comrade Obinna Nnajiuba Agbogidi made the call while addressing journalists in Owerri, on the Federal Government’s continued detention of Kanu before election.
They said Kanu’s release would enhance peace and security in the Southeast region, especially as Imo is about to hold governorship elections.
