“If they come with violence, avoid them” – Fubara advises new chairmen

By Busari Kabirat

The Rivers State Governor, Similaye Fubara, has made known the plans to mobilize no fewer than 20 people per unit to confront the local government Chairmen that were newly sworn-in in the state. Urging them all to be vigilant in their answering.

Fubara enjoined the newly elected local government Chairmen while swearing them in, in Port Harcourt yesterday.

One of the Chairmen contested on the platform of Action Alliance while 22 others were from the Action Peoples Party.

He said: “I’m aware that there are plans to mobilise 20 people per unit to confront you when you return to your local government headquarters.

“If they come with violence, avoid them. The peace of this state is too important to us. Everyone knows what they are planning, but I urge you to follow my approach.

“At the right time, you will always win if you are patient and calculative. We have made our promises to our people, and we are committed to leading them to the Promised Land.”
