Prof. Iliyasu Falalu-Rafindadi, who is
the Registrar of Federal University Dutsinma, FUDMA, Katsina State, is dead.
This is coming shortly after a protracted illness, while his demise was on Tuesday announced in a statement by Mr Habib Umar-Aminu, the university’s spokesman, where he wrote that Falalu-Rafindadi died at the age of 60 in the early hours of Tuesday and was buried at the Dan Marina cemetery according to Islamic right.
Umar-Aminu wrote: “Falalu-Rafindadi was born on June 10, 1964 in Katsina town, Katsina State, the deceased joined the services of FUDMA on December 30, 2011 from where he rose through the ranks to become its Registrar on June 1, 2021.
“During his stay at the university, the deceased had served as its Academic Secretary and Establishment secretary before his appointment as Registrar.
Prof Armaya’u Bichi, The Vice-Chancellor, had on behalf of the management, staff and students, extends his condolences to the family and the university community over the death, stating that
the demise of the deceased was a great loss to the institution as he was dedicated and hardworking when he was alive and was also a member who contributed immensely to the growth and development of the university, praying that the Allah to grant eternal rest and Aljannat Firdaus and give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
