Federal Government approves Life Assurance of N9 Billion for workers

The administration led by President Bola Tinubu has approved the sum of N9 Billion for the payment of Group Life Assurance for federal government workers renewal.
Mohammed Idris, who is the Minister of Information and National Orientation, made this known at the end of the first Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting of the year at the State House in Abuja on Wednesday.

He disclosed that the president had approved for 12 local insurance firms the total sum of N9.6 billion to cover federal workers in the event of unforeseen circumstances in their duties which may be death or severe injury to any worker, they could resort to the insurance scheme so that their families would not have to pay for any inconvenience or suffer.
The scheme created is to make sure all its workers are convenient and to improve productivity and efficiency

The Minister in his words said: “There are about 12 insurance companies involved. It’s a normal annual cover that insurance companies give workers.
“So, in the event of death or severe injury, they can resort to and so that their families would not have to suffer.”
