Forty houses has been approved for construction to Judges in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), by the Federal Executive Council (FEC), on Monday.
This was disclosed in a briefing at the State House correspondents by Nyesom Wike and was chaired by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, where he noted that 40 houses are part of the federal government’s Renewed Hope Agenda and would be constructed in the Kantampe district, within the space if fifteen months, 20 houses would be allocated to the FCT High Court, 10 to the Federal High Court and 10 to the Court of Appeal, also there are roads to be done as this roads would be accessible road from the artillery to judges’ quarters
This is important because the president realized that most of the judges and Justices are living in a rented apartment and hotels, which are not safe and convenient for their judicial duties.
He said, “What it means is that out of these 40 FCT high courts which is like the FCT court will have 20, the federal high court will have ten and the court of Appeal will have ten and this will be completed in fifteen months’ time.”
“They are the construction of an access road from Artillery Road N11 from Mabuchi to the judges’ quarters.”
