Brigadier General YD Ahmed, who is the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, (NYSC), has given directives to serving corps members that all are expected to dress well while in the NYSC uniforms at all times, failure to do so will attract sanctions.
He also advised the Corps members to seize the opportunity of the North-East Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) training centre in Gombe to acquire additional skills and get trained with sophisticated equipment for enhanced future empowerment as ex-Corps members who utilises the opportunities of the service year to learn new skills are now employers of labour in different locations nationwide and are useful to theirselves and their communities.
This was made known by BD Ahmed while addressing the Corps members in Gombe State Orientation Camp, Amada, and Taraba State Orientation Camp in Sibre.
He said “Improper dressing while in NYSC uniforms attract sanctions,” adding that “every Corps member is expected to abide by the Scheme’s dress code.”
