Ruud van Nistelrooy, the former Manchester United striker, is being considered by Leicester City for the vacant managerial post available following the departure of Enzo Maresca.
Maresca is set to take over as the new manager of Chelsea, succeeding Mauricio Pochettino, who recently left the Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea is ready to compensate Leicester with £10 million for Maresca, who successfully led the Foxes back to the Premier League by winning the Championship this season despite all the potential challenges, including a possible points deduction because of alleged breaches of Premier League Profitability and Sustainability Rules.
Lots of applicants have been longing for the position, inclusive of Steve Cooper, the former Nottingham Forest manager, Graham Potter, the former Chelsea coach and Carlos Coberan of West Brom.
Van Nistelrooy who has been unemployed since leaving PSV last year because of a “lack of support” from the club’s leadership, is another name under consideration.
The Dutchman in accordance with The Mirror, has expressed a desire to manage in the Premier League, is being seriously considered by Leicester City and was reportedly on the club’s shortlist as they look to replace Maresca, the outgoing manager.
