The Lagos state government has closed five markets in Mushin and Odi-Olowo areas because of environmental pollution and other crimes.

The markets that were closed following the commissioner’s order include the ultra-modern Awolowo Odi-olowo Ojuwoye Mushin Market, Ojuwoye Odi-olowo Ojuwoye Mushin Market, Mushin Main Market, Daleko Mushin Market and Odo Ashimowu Market, Mushin.

Wahab said the agreements were signed by the Lagos Waste Management Authority, LAWMA, in collaboration with the Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps, LAGESC and Kick Against Indiscipline, KAI.
