“Disregard all claims from those described as enemies”– Rivers APC

The Rivers State chapter of All Progressives Congress, (APC), has made it known that Omiete Efrebo together with nine others who filed suit against Emeka Beke, the state chairman of the party together with two others, has been given court order by the High Court in Port Harcourt to vacate their interim injunction obtained on April 12, 2023, restraining Beke and two others from acting as chairman and legal adviser of the party and suspended them.

Festus Fuanter, who is the APC Deputy National Secretary, had in Abuja at a media briefing stated that the Tony Okocha’s led seven-member caretaker committee’s appointment was based on court order as against the Beke’s executive team.

Iheanyichukwu Dike, the Rivers State Legal Adviser responded noting that the interim injunction issued by Justice D.G. Kio on April 12, 2023, has been vacated since 30 January, 2024.

He stated that the suit was ruled out and a cost of N200,000 was awarded against Efrebo and nine others, in favour of Beke and two others.

Iheanyichukwu Dike, had on Wednesday revealed in a statement that following the grant of interim order on April 12, 2023, Beke and his cacus appeal at the Court of Appeal in Port Harcourt challenging the order but immediately withdrew the appeal upon learning that they had already been vacated in January order 2024.

The notice of withdrawal of the appeal was filed on August 26, 2024.

He noted that the case between Efrebo and the others against Beke and the two others is no longer pending in any court and the general public should disregard all claims from those described as “enemies of the APC in Rivers State.”
