The demise of Head Coach Christian Obi is been confirmed and announced by Heartland.
Reports made it known that the Nigeria National League outfit were involved in a road accident on Friday while heading to Abakaliki which the Coach Obi was involved.
The Naze Millionaires were to participate in the TICO/SELECT Ifeanyi Ekwueme pre-season tournament.
Shortly after the ghastly accident, Coach Obi was unconscious with a slight injury on his right leg upon evacuation from the badly affected part of the bus, he died after he was rushed to a nearby hospital in Okwelle, Onuimo Local Government of Imo State.
His body has been deposited at the morgue in the Federal University Teaching Hospital, (FUTH) Owerri, while others injured in the accident have been referred to the same hospital for more proper care.
