Chima Ekuma Nkama, the Chairman of Edda local government area in Ebonyi State, has urged various political party candidates to trade with caution in the forthcoming Ebonyi south senatorial zone bye-election.
He said, the Ebonyi south senatorial bye-election shouldn’t be a do-or-die affair and all parties should try as much as possible to avoid all manners of violence and let the election be peaceful.
He stated further, that all party candidates should abide with all rules and regulations guiding the bye-election that will be effective in the five LGAs; Afikpo North, Ivo, Ohaozara, Edda and Onicha LGA.
He also promised not to support anyone who had once contested in the 2023 election and failed but still aimed at participating in Ebonyi south senatorial bye-election.
His Statement reads: “We can’t support somebody who failed woefully in the last general election. We are not ready to re-enforce such a person and we are not going back. We are after the development and progress of the people of Edda LGA.
