CDS Visits NSCDC, Emphasizes On Need To Confront Insecurity

Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, has paid a visit to the headquarters of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and stressed the need to strengthen synergy among security forces to overcome the country’s quagmire.

General Musa who was accompanied by Departmental heads from the Defence Headquarters (DHQ), while addressing the Commandant General of NSCDC, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, commended personnel of the Corps for their good conduct, determination and professionalism during security operations. The 18th CDS who was first to pay a visit to NSCDC, pledged his continuous synergy with the Corps, assuring of his support in training among other areas of interest.

Responding, Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD, mni, OFR, welcomed the CDS and members of his entourage to the National Headquarters of the Corps.

Dr Audi also informed the CDS of the Safe Schools Project as part of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure which he explained has been taken far by the Corps and disclosed that it had assisted in thwarting abduction and kidnap at Federal University, Dutsinma, Katsina State.
