The Canadian High Commission in Nigeria has suspended operations until further notice.
The suspension may not be unrelated to the fire that broke out at the commission on Monday.
The High Commission announced the suspension of operations late Monday night via its X account (formerly Twitter).
As a result of this suspension, visa and immigration services will no longer be provided to individuals wishing to visit or immigrate to Canada until operations resume.
Additionally, services will not be provided to Canadians visiting and residing in Nigeria, Canadians from Equatorial Guinea, and Sao Tome and Principe.
