This was disclosed to the news men immediately after a short closed door meeting by chairman Senate committee on appropriation senator Solomon Olamilekan representing Ogun west Senatorial District with the chairmen of the various committee in senate where he alluded to the fact they discussed the modernity of the appropriation processes in other to meet up with the stipulated time for the budget to be lay latest 31th December, 2023.
However,he further stated that this processes is not fire bridged approach that all agencies will appear before the committee their are under to defend their budget and this processes will be joint committee for both House and Senate while Senate will be doing their’s, House will also be doing their’s for the quick done of budget processes for it to be lay at the stipulated time which is 31st December,2023. That all heads of agencies will start coming for their budget defence starting from next week onword.
Thus, the chairman noted that both House we do their work thoroughly in other to meet up with the date stated for laying and passing of the budget that is before them which was presented by the Mr. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on 29th November,2023.
