Citizens’ town hall participation in the 2024 budget and allocation process has begun in Abuja.
The event was organized by the House Budget Committee and the Program Coordination Unit, Office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives with the attendance of many officials, including Chairman of the Budget Committee Kabir Abubakar, his deputy , Iduma Enwo, and former National Secretary. of the All Progressives Congress, Iyiola Omisore, among others.
In his welcome speech, Kabir said the purpose of the meeting was to increase people’s participation in the ownership process.
“This town hall has an important role to play in promoting the integrity of the budget process,” he said.
