The organizers of the Ballon d’Or, France Football, has outlined its criteria
used in selecting the winners of the award.
This was made known on Friday night on its official X media handle.
The first criteria is said to be “Individual performances, decisive and impressive character.”
Second criteria, “team performances and achievements.”
And the third criteria “class and fair play”.
30 nominees were shortlisted for released in September which includes Vinicius Junior, who is regarded as favourite to win the prize this year, Rodri, Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe and Bukayo Saka.
The winner will be announced on 28, October at a ceremony.
