The Action People’s Party, (APP), Rivers State chapter situated along the GRA in Port Harcourt, had on Monday got exploded.
The sad incident was reported on Monday to have happened in the early hours of the day.
According to reports, assailants were seen threw dynamites into the secretariat building to destroy the party’s property.
It is rumored that Siminalayi Fubara, the State’s Governor, is planning to leave the APP party alongside his supporters.
However, the state police command’s spokesperson, Grace Iringe-Koko, said she is still not yet aware of the sad incident.
An anonymous party member told newsmen that the incident was a politically-motivated one.
He said “Yes, I’m a member of the APP. I was informed of the attack at about 3 am today.
“This is politically-motivated and there is no two ways about it. They know that the APP is a fast-growing political party in the state. We call on the police to investigate this and arrest the culprits.”
