CP Yemi Oyeniyi embark on Easter celebration visibility patrol along the highways, visits area commands and men on duty, charges officers on professionalism, and respect of human rights

The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, today 3rd April 2026 embarked on Easter celebration visibility patrol in Delta State, covering the highways in key towns including Ibusa, Ogwashi-Uku, Ozoro, Oleh, Ughelli, Warri and Effurn. This is part of the command efforts to assess deployments and reinforce police presence across the State.

During the patrol, the Commissioner of Police stopped at various checkpoints where he interacted with officers on duty and evaluated their level of alertness and operational readiness.

The Commissioner of Police engaged the personnel on duty on the need for proactive and intelligence-driven policing. He charged them to remain vigilant at all times, noting that early detection and prompt response are critical in crime prevention.

He further admonished officers to be courteous and professional in their dealings with members of the public, stressing that respect, discipline, and policing with integrity are central to effective policing. He issued a firm warning against all forms of extortion and unprofessional conduct, emphasising that such behaviour will not be tolerated.

CP Yemi Oyeniyi, psc, acipm, mnips, reaffirmed his commitment to people-oriented policing approach and urged officers to uphold the values of the Nigeria Police Force while carrying out their lawful duties.
