Adebayo Adelabu, the Minister of Power, have stated when northern Nigeria region power supply will be restored following several blackout days.
Update was made known on Tuesday by Adelabu while briefing the newsmen on the efforts to restore power supply to the Northern region of Nigeria.
Recalling his statement posted on the Transmission Company of Nigeria’s official X account on Tuesday, Adelabu explained that the delay in fixing the vandalised Shiroro-Kaduna line was due to security threats, noting that government has vowed to find another alternative solutions to get the vandalised Shiroro-Kaduna line fixed.
He wote: “We’ve had vandalism there before, but nobody noticed it because we fixed it within days. But this time was more severe, and the repairs have been delayed because of security threats.
“We’re working, and hopefully, light will be restored before the end of the week. We’re exploring alternative solutions while we continue to work to fix the vandalised towers.”
