Compt. EJ Harrison leads team of audit officers from HQ to Tincan Island Port Area Command

The Service had on 15 May issued out a Circular for the comprehensive audit of all its personnel in line with directives from the Head of Service of the Federation. The exercise which kicked off 21 May 2024 from the Zonal Headquarters started today, 27 May 2024 at the Tincan Island Area Command.

The Tincan Island Port Area Command is to play host to the team of officers from the Service Headquarters lead by Comptroller Welfare HRD, Comptroller EJ Harrison. Other officers from Ports and Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML) and Lilypond area command are also expected to join the officers of the Tincan Island Area Command in the exercise which will last from the 27 to 29 May 2024.

Comptroller EJ Harrison with the respective Area Controllers of the Command; (Compt. DA Nnadi mni, Compt. TM Daniyan and Compt. AY Odusanya) addressed the officers this morning at about 1000hrs at the Conference room of the Tincan Area command before kick starting the audit exercise. Comptroller Harrison instructed the officers to be of good conduct while the exercise is on-going and promised that all officers from the various Area Commands will be attended to. The exercise he said is to give room for officers to update their records and assist the Service in promotion exercise as well identify the status of officers of the various commands for effective deployment.

Additionally, the Tincan Island Area Controller, Compt. DA Nnadi mni said that the on-going exercise will not disrupt Port operations/activities in the port corridor during the 3 days audit exercise, hence all stakeholders are to go about their respective activities as this exercise will not hinder operations.

Compt. DA Nnadi mni also reiterated that the primary goal of the Service is to facilitate trade professionally and effectively by ensuring competency based human resource deployment.
