The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), has given a strong advice to telecommunication users through its official Facebook page, to be using a strong passwords to avoid unauthorized access to their mobile devices.
The cyber security has been a major problem Nigeria is facing in the digital space but NCC is trying their best to erase the problem out to see how security threat could be managed.
The Federal Government of Nigeria together with all relevant agencies are making all efforts to effectively check the hazard.
The Commission is the leading organization with dedication to foster a conducive environment for stakeholders to ensure that telecom users are protected from cyber threats and focusing on how cyber-attacks could be prevented, emphasizing on the effectiveness of using a strong passwords to protect online accounts.
Subscribers are urged to make sure that they have a password to log in securely.
NCC on its official Facebook page wrote, “Protect your online accounts (such as banks and digital media) by using strong and complex passwords.”
It believes that by opting for strong passwords, individuals could defend themselves against cyber attacks.
