Emerse Fae, the Cote d’Ivoire head coach, has made known how they won the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Sunday, in the final game of AFCON 2023 at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Ebimpe, Abidjan.
He noted that the Super Eagles players were noticed to be tired in the first half of the game which serves as an avenue for him to push his team to intensify on their energy.
Fea said: It was the West Africans third AFCON title.
“We noticed the Nigerian players were tired in the first half. They were not at their usual best.”
“I told my players during the half-time break that we must increase the intensity of our game and it worked out well for us.
“It was not an easy game but the good thing is that we won at the end of the day.”
