The 27-year-old Stanley Nwabali, the newfound Nigeria goalkeeper, has returned to training, following his sustained injury during the Round of 16 battle against the Indomitable Lions on Saturday, but may remain in contention for the upcoming quarter-final match against Angola.
The medical team have been working on his recovery, also schedule a fitness test for him today which will help to determine his eligibility for the forthcoming matches.
Nwabali’s commitment to his recovery is vivid despite training alone, there is assurance among the team medics that he is likely to get fit for selection if the late fitness test yields positive results.
Team Medics stated that, “Fingers crossed, If all goes well, he might be available for selection.” This is coming from Nwabali’s fans reflecting collective hope for his quick recovery.
