Adewole Adebayo, who is the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, has criticized the recent increase in kidnapping within the country.
News gathered that there has been series of kidnapping in the last few days, especially in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
Highlighting security to be one of the priority of the government but the government had failed in protecting the citizens from the kidnappers.
This was made known by Adebayo in a post on his official X social media handle, stating that, “As we bemoan and dread bandits and kidnappers, we must bemoan and suspect our government more. It is the duty of the government to stop criminality.” But if President Bola Tinubu, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the Nigeria Police Force and the Department of State Services (DSS) really want to put a stop to the kidnappings in Nigeria, they can without stress, they had all it takes to do so.
He wrote, “If @officialABAT, @NuhuRibadu, @PoliceNG and @OfficialDSSNG want to end kidnapping today, they have all it takes. Government is in on it.”
