This was made known to the news men immediately after a public hearing by Senate committee on Public Account chaired by Senator Aliyu Ahmed Wadada Representing Nasarawa West with some MBA’s where he noted the refusal of Nigeria Port Authority to honour the invitation of the committee to answer the query issued to them by the office of auditor general of the federation.
Thus, rather than sending a general manager to the committee which is not acceptable by the committee even at a time when the Nigeria Port authority where call upon the general manager was absent, but later show face saying that he went for medication.
However, Nigeria Port Authority supposed to came and answer the query issued to the by the auditor general of the federation among all which is about sixty eight million dollar.
Therefore, the chairman stated that the committee will communicate to them within 24hours and failure for them to appear before the Senate committee on public account we will used our constitutional power to bring them to book that no institutions is bigger than National Assembly and no one is above law.
