South African singer Tyla Laura Seethal, better known by her stage name Tyla, revealed that she had difficulty convincing her parents to allow her to pursue music.
She said her parents opposed her decision to become a musician because they did not see music as a job.
The “Water” singer said her parents finally gave in after she cried for days.
Speaking in a recent interview with Power 106 FM, Los Angeles, USA, Tyla said: “My parents are not really strict with what I do but they are stricter about going to the studio than finding a job. . “Music is not a job,” they say. It’s a hobby.
